Technical Specifications of Padel Courts: Standards, Safety, and Engineering
Player safety is the cornerstone upon which a sports center's reputation is built. A padel court must withstand enormous mechanical stress, such as athletes impacting the glass walls or wind pressure in outdoor installations. 3B Padel designs every component following Eurocodes (EN 1991) to ensure absolute stability.
Framework and Anti-Corrosion Protection. We use S235JR certified structural steel. The real difference lies in the surface treatment: hot-dip galvanization according to the ISO 1461 standard is the only process that guarantees total protection against rust for over 20 years, creating an unassailable metallic shield. This is vital not only near the sea but also in high-humidity indoor environments.
Tempered Glass and Lighting. Our courts are fitted with 10mm or 12mm glass compliant with the EN 12150-1 standard. In the event of accidental breakage, the glass shatters into small, blunt pieces, eliminating the risk of cuts. Lighting is provided by LED floodlights with asymmetric optics that guarantee a uniform 500-750 lux, eliminating shadows and glare during lobs.
